The "BB62" is a fun place to go to. It is so big, you wouldn't believe it. When I went the first thing we did was get a snack(it was a long ride, we ran into traffic because there was an accident on the NJ turnpike, causing 5 fatalities). The next thing we did was we went on a 4D plane ride. The ride was taken place during a war or something. I forgot. It was really rocky and shakey.
After the ride was finished we gathered up our things and headed to our bunks. To tell you the truth, the bad thing was that it was so compacted together it was hard for us to pass by each other(also another thing is that the stairs(which they call ladders by the way) were VERY steep). When that was finished we went down to eat dinner. What we had was mash potatoes, meatballs, mixed vegetables, and bread. The mixed vegetables were GROSS!!!! , but the other stuff was pretty good. For desert we had package cookies.
When dinner was finished we went to go on a tour of the boat. Even though the tour guide wasn't in the navy, he was very informative. The best part of the boat was the captains quarters. It was so elegant, you wanted to sleep right there. Any way the creepy part of the boat was the wax figures inside the secluded rooms. I got scared every time I saw one.
When the tour was finished(like about 10:30) we went to this tent thingy and we saw a show with singers(that no one knew) singing some songs(yet again that no one knew). It was pretty interesting though.
It was a really long show, but when it was over we went back inside for some hot chocolate and a night snack. After the snack we went back to our bunks. Once we got there we really didn't have anytime to get settled in. The lights went off, but my troop was still up. Luckily we had our flashlights.
The beds were uncomfortable at first, but once you get used to it, it feels so good.
The next day was pretty short. We did a flag salute and went to a speech about women being in the military/navy. When the long talk was over, we went to the gift shop and went back home.
The Battle Ship of New Jersey was a really fun experience. When you are inside the boat, you don't feel like your really in the boat, you know what I mean? The only thing is, is that you CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT bring any electronics or else they will take it away( you'll get it back eventually). Other wise it was super fun and I would totally do it again!!!!!
